Commissions

I accept custom portrait, pet portrait and still live commissions. As every project is different, please do contact me directly to discuss your project. I include below a short summary of my processes for each type of commission.

Portraits

A successful portrait is a constructive collaboration between the painter and the sitter. We would typically have an initial meeting to discuss your requirements and define the scope of your project. This would be followed by a dressed session of about three hours to define together the composition and narrative of the portrait. Once the composition is set, I can work from a mix of pictures, sketches and live sittings depending on your availability. Depending on the size and composition, a portrait would typically take three to four months to be completed. Pricing depends on the scope and size of the portrait but would be in similar ranges to the prices shown in the Portrait Gallery. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your project.

Pet Portraits

For pet portraits I would typically work from a set of pictures either sent by the client or taken directly by myself during a photo shoot depending on the quality of pictures received. Not all pictures make good paintings. Pricing depends entirely on size. Typically, an 8*12 inches costs roughly 500GBP although prices may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Still Lives

If you have a favourite theme or items, which you would like to immortalise in a still life then I would be happy to work out a composition for you.
